Verify Johnson County Supervision

Johnson County parole and probation records answer whether a person remains under Missouri supervision after a jail or prison release. Parole follows a prison term, while probation is a court-ordered community sentence. Both can be supervised through the state’s probation and parole division, but the underlying legal status and end point differ. To verify Johnson County post-release supervision, use the active state offender search, read the court judgment, and confirm the assigned office. A physical release does not mean the sentence has ended, and a missing online result does not prove that no warrant or supervision record exists.

Johnson County Parole vs Probation

Parole and conditional release involve a person who has left a Missouri prison but remains in MODOC legal custody. Probation generally follows a court judgment that allows the person to remain in the community under conditions instead of serving all or part of a prison or jail term. Johnson County cases can involve either status, and the MODOC Division of Probation and Parole may supervise both.

Definition: Physical release means leaving a facility; final discharge means the legal supervision term has ended.

Probation is not proof that the person served a prison term, and parole is not a pardon or reduction of the imposed sentence. Under Missouri law, a parolee remains in DOC legal custody while living in the community. Court and MODOC records should therefore be read together.

Check Johnson County Parole and Probation

The MODOC Offender Web Search is the first online check because it includes active prisoners, probationers, and parolees. It excludes discharged offenders. A no-result can mean final discharge, a spelling problem, a confidential record, or another limit, so it cannot serve as an all-clear.

  1. Search the correctly spelled full name in the active MODOC offender search.
  2. Compare the DOC number, age or date information, offense, current location, and status before selecting a record.
  3. Look for a field office or community-supervision location rather than assuming that “active” means incarcerated.
  4. Check Missouri Case.net for the Johnson County judgment, sentence, probation order, revocation entry, or warrant.
  5. Use the official MODOC address listing to identify District 5S in Warrensburg.
  6. Call the field office for public confirmation of supervision and the supervising office when the online record is unclear.

MODOC states that public supervision information can include confirmation that a person is supervised, the officer or office, the term and conditions, custody or bond status, the parole or conditional-release date, and the Board’s release decision. Disclosure still depends on current law and the record. Sensitive identifiers should be given only through an official agency channel and should never be published.

If several names match, MODOC Constituent Services asks for a correctly spelled full name and, when available, the DOC number, date of birth, or another official identifier. Send sensitive identifiers only through that official channel. The historical all-offenders file can help establish a completed supervision row, but it does not replace the field office for a present-status question or the court for the terms of a Johnson County probation judgment.

Johnson County’s Warrensburg Supervision Office

The strongest local human verification channel is the MODOC probation and parole office in Warrensburg. The current official address listing calls it District 5S. An official resource guide calls it District 5, states that it serves Johnson and Henry counties, and lists weekday office hours.

District 5S – Warrensburg Probation and Parole Office

505 N. Ridgeview Drive, Suite D
Warrensburg, MO 64093
Phone: 660-543-7920
Fax: 660-543-7946
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

The office is not a jail and cannot be treated as the person’s custody facility. A Warrensburg office assignment can show that someone is physically out of prison while still serving a supervised part of the sentence. Ask for the public status and correct office, then use the individual officer channel supplied by MODOC if further authorized information is needed.

The manifest’s MODOC office-lookup capture shows the official statewide route used to identify the Warrensburg office.

Johnson County Supervision Conditions

Conditions are imposed by the court, Parole Board, or supervision authority and vary by case. Public information may identify the supervision term and conditions, but the controlling documents are the judgment, Board order, and current supervision record. Typical case management can address reporting, residence, travel, treatment, payment duties, or conduct, but no condition should be attributed to a specific Johnson County person unless it appears in that person’s official record.

A reported violation does not itself explain the outcome. The supervising authority may investigate, impose an authorized response, seek a warrant, or begin revocation proceedings. Court docket entries can show a probation warrant or revocation filing, while MODOC and the Parole Board control state-supervision records. MOVANS or VINE may provide notice of custody or court events, but it does not replace the violation record.

Johnson County Absconder and Warrant Checks

MODOC describes a Command Center that works with law enforcement on absconders, but no public statewide absconder or warrant list was located. The practical public path is to compare the active offender search, the Warrensburg field office, and Missouri court entries. A person marked active may be supervised, incarcerated, or associated with another current MODOC status, so read the full record and location.

An absent active-search result is not proof that no warrant exists. Discharged offenders are excluded, and certain records may be restricted. A Johnson County court warrant, municipal warrant, parole warrant, and outside-agency hold are also not interchangeable. Match the case and issuing authority before describing the person’s status.

Verification rule: Do not label someone an absconder from rumor, roster disappearance, or a failed name search.

How Johnson County Supervision Ends

Supervision ends through expiration or a lawful discharge entered by the agency or court with authority. MODOC publishes an early-discharge path and Missouri law provides a limited earned-compliance framework for eligible supervision terms. Eligibility is not automatic for every case, and a public page cannot calculate an individual discharge from elapsed time alone.

When a MODOC term is complete, the person drops out of the active name search because that search excludes discharged offenders. The Department’s nightly historical Sunshine Law file can then provide sentence rows and a Completed Flag, while the court record may preserve the probation disposition. A formal records request can seek the discharge or supervision history when a durable official record is needed.

Missouri’s earned-compliance law and MODOC early-discharge guidance apply only within their stated eligibility rules. Credits against an eligible supervision term are not prison good time, and they do not permit a public observer to announce a discharge. The current agency record or court entry must show that the legal term ended.

Release from the Johnson County Detention Center is a different event. Someone can leave the jail on bond and begin or resume a court process without being on parole. Another person may leave a state institution and report to District 5S while still under DOC legal custody. Confirm the custodian, legal status, and end date separately.

Johnson County Reentry Support After Release

Recovery Lighthouse identifies a Warrensburg reentry program and work with grant-funded area Recovery Courts. Missouri’s 2026 Department of Mental Health provider list also identifies Recovery Lighthouse and Mercy Tree Network for Johnson County. These are service-navigation resources, not custody-status databases, and inclusion does not promise eligibility or placement.

Recovery Lighthouse is located at 204 E. Market Street in Warrensburg and lists 660-429-2222. The state provider list identifies Mercy Tree Network through First Baptist Church at 660-747-9186. A supervisee should coordinate any program participation that affects a supervision condition with the assigned officer rather than assuming a community provider can approve a legal change.

Johnson County Supervision Record Sources

Use the source that owns each part of the record. The Parole Board controls its release decision and rules. MODOC maintains the active offender record, institutional history, and field supervision information. The Johnson County or municipal court maintains its judgment, probation order, docket, warrant, and discharge entries. MOVANS supplies notifications for participating events.

The Missouri Parole Board page provides Board contacts and warns that time-to-serve guidelines do not guarantee release. The Board can be contacted at 573-751-8488 or DOC.MissouriParoleBoard@doc.mo.gov; records requests use ParoleBoard.SunshineRequest@doc.mo.gov. For an individual offender-information fallback, MODOC Constituent Services asks for a correctly spelled full name plus a DOC number, date of birth, or other official identifier when available.

A projected sentence milestone is not the same as supervision discharge. Compare the official minimum, maximum, and completed fields through Johnson County Projected Release.

When the original county booking or release authority remains unclear, the Johnson County released-inmate search and records path joins the Sheriff event to the court and receiving system.
